Machine learning and operational research
At the heart of our products, SAVOYE integrates solutions that assist with decision-making, which means we can address a significant number of strategic, tactical and operational issues.
Several years ago, SAVOYE established its own Operational Research and Data Science hub, staffed by doctors in Applied Research in Data Science and Optimisation.
Our teams draw on two complementary disciplines, one that is focused on predictive models and the other optimisation models:
Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
Machine learning, a key aspect of data science, analyses data and behaviours and draws out correlations between elements. With the arrival of big data and the growth of calculation capacity, machine learning has boomed. It interprets data and makes it more meaningful, and its algorithms learn by iteration based on the analysis of past and present to deduce the future.
Our data scientists develop modules that can be integrated into our WMS and WCS control systems, with many possible fields of application: flow forecasting, labour management, breakdown forecasting, anticipating picking shortages, optimising resupply, etc.
Operational research is an area of applied mathematics that aims to design efficient decision-making algorithms in order to process optimisation problems that are too complex to be managed by conventional methods: optimising the choice of the next packages to prepare, controlling sequencing hardware, planning tools, dynamic routing calculations...
