Is the JIVARO solution compliant with the new European Packaging Regulation (PPWR)?

Yes, JIVARO is fully compliant with the PPWR. The solution directly meets the requirements of the European regulation, particularly with regard to:

  • reducing packaging volume,
  • reducing empty spaces,
  • improved recyclability,
  • limiting unnecessary materials.

Are packages produced with JIVARO recyclable?

Yes, packages generated by JIVARO are made from 100% cardboard and are fully recyclable.

Does the JIVARO solution help to comply with the requirement to reduce empty space set out in European Regulation EU 2025/40 (PPWR)?

Yes, JIVARO reduces oversized packaging, which is a key point of the PPWR. The machine automatically adjusts the package to the actual volume of the products, enabling:

  • a reduction of up to 50% in empty space shipped,
  • compliance with regulatory thresholds,
  • the elimination of cushioning materials.

Does JIVARO improve the carbon footprint of shipped packages?

Yes, thanks in particular to:

  • reduced volumes = optimized transport (more packages per pallet and per route),
  • elimination of cushioning materials = improved recyclability.

Does JIVARO help reduce over-packaging?

Yes. By adjusting the height of the box to the object, JIVARO eliminates the need for cushioning materials, whether they are made of non-recyclable plastic or recyclable materials (cardboard, paper).

Can JIVARO be integrated into an existing automated system?

Yes. The solution is modular and can be integrated into an existing packaging line, whether manual, semi-automated, or fully automated.

Does the machine handle package customization?

Yes, and there are two options for this:

  • Unlimited customization with the JIVARO Print version, allowing logos, messages, and shipping labels to be printed on the top of the package.
  • Up to 4 pre-printed cover designs with the JIVARO Multi-store version, for distribution centers handling a limited number of brands.

What is the JIVARO’s throughput?

Up to 15 cartons per minute, depending on the version and the percentage of reduced cartons.

Does the JIVARO solution reduce shipping costs?

Yes, thanks to more compact packages that are tailored to their contents. The direct benefits:

  • better load optimization
  • better-filled trucks and therefore fewer of them
